For Your Information
Our goal is to create awareness. As we learn about recalls or other issues, we will post them here. You can also subscribe to Dog Food Advisor to receive current updates through email.
June 2017 - Taste of the Wild
Recently there have been some complaints of dogs getting sick on Taste of the Wild (specifically High Prairie). In response to these complaints, I called my distributor and both the Taste of the Wild and Diamond Foods 800 numbers. I have been told "there is no issue with the food." However, I was able to get a promise from the Diamond Foods consumer helpline for the following:
If you have a bag of Taste of the Wild that has made your dog sick, call Diamond Foods consumer helpline at 1-800-442-0402. They will refund your money as long as you have a receipt. (If you don't have your receipt and you bought it at Oliver's Collar, and you can remember when you bought it, I can still print your receipt for you.)
At this time no recalls have been issued. If you think a recall should be initiated, help the process along by telling the DF Helpline what the Lot # is on the back of the bag of food. If enough of the same Lot # is complained about, the company can test their "hold batch" for that lot number and narrow down any issues that may be of concern.
We hope your dog is healthy and happy with his food. As always, if you have any questions, please call us. We are happy to help any way we can.
